Amazingly Healthy Skin in MinutesInspired by the cashew nut extract, this former barber from Manila has indeed come a long, long way.
For as long as his son could remember, Rolando dela Cruz has always been in the business of making people look good.

“My father used to be a barber,” recalls Richard dela Cruz, Rolando’s eldest child and Vice President for Marketing of RCC Amazing Touch International, Inc. “
’Yun ang naging instrumento niya para makatapos siya ng pag-aaral sa MLQU (That was his means to complete his studies at the Manuel L. Quezon University),” he beams proudly. Rolando observed a skin condition common among his clients: warts, defined as benign skin growths caused by the
human papilloma virus (HPV).
“Nung gumugupit siya, sabi niya nagtataka siya, bakit ‘yung malalaking warts
ng customers
niya, kalahati sunog, kalahati hindi (While he was cutting their hair, he wondered why the warts of his customers were half-burned),” Richard shares.
Rolando discovered that his customers had their warts cauterized, or burned using electric-generated heat. They however, opted not to continue with the process because they found it quite painful.
Upon learning their predicament, a childhood memory came to mind.
“Back when he was 9 years old,
nangunguha sila ng kasuy sa mga kapitbahay sa Capaz, Tarlac (they picked cashew nuts from their neighbors in Capaz, Tarlac, where he grew up),” Richard narrates.
Upon biting the seed, Rolando’s lips became numb. Little did he know that the cashew nut extract generates heat and is a natural anesthetic.
Experimenting with cashew nut extract and other natural ingredients, the older Rolando finally formulated a cream-based wart treatment. RCC Amazing Touch International was born and the rest, as they say, is history.
Safe, painless, and relatively without a trace “Sa una talagang mahirap mag-introduce
ng product…
kasi sabi nila, it was too good to be true (At first it was really difficult to introduce the product to the market…because they said it was too good to be true),” Richard smiles.

Cauterization lasts for approximately three to four hours, including the application of anesthesia. On the other hand, a single treatment with the company’s patented DeWart Cream can be completed within 15-20 minutes.
“You can go to the beach three hours after treatment,” guarantees Richard.
The cream leaves a scab that peels off after a few days. And unlike cauterization, the application of the cream is safe, painless, and does not damage the healthy skin tissues surrounding the area, thus preventing scars.
“The cream’s anti-viral properties can penetrate up to the root of the wart, preventing re-growth,” Richard assures.
RCC Amazing Touch has likewise developed DeMole, a cream for the removal of moles. Richard explains that some moles, particularly those that change in size and color, can develop into skin cancer.

Thanks to exposure to various exhibitions such as the
1st ASEAN Health & Wellness Exhibition organized by the ASEAN-Japan Center, Rolando’s revolutionary invention has received accolades from across the globe. Some of its more prestigious recognitions include a bronze medal from Switzerland’s Salon International des Inventions de Geneve from 1999; a silver medal from Japan’s World Genius Convention in 2001; and a gold medal and a Grand Prix Award from Russia in 2004.
Supported by clinical studies conducted by doctors from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, Richard happily notes that their products have likewise gained the attention and respect of the local medical community, who have learned of the creams from their patients!
A one-stop skin care shop
Instead of going the retail route, the company’s DeWart, DeMole, and the company’s range of after-care products are sold through the 13 RCC Amazing Touch Clinics in key cities across the country, most of which are located inside malls.
While the treatment is very simple, Richard advices patients to have the company’s highly-trained derm technologists to do the application for them, as it may be difficult for patients to see minuscule growths and to differentiate warts from other skin conditions themselves.
“But on the occasion that the patient lives either in Jolo, in Zamboanga, or in the US, we can send the products to them,” Richard says.
RCC Amazing Touch clinics likewise offer keloid and tattoo removal services. And to make their services more affordable to everyone, Richard says that they make it a point to offer prices and treatment packages depending on the budget of their patient—all towards the mission of making people look good and feel good!
Coming soon: A cure for skin cancer What’s next for this innovative company? More life-changing inventions, of course.
Germany-based International Exhibition-Ideas-Invention-New Products (IENA) cited RCC Amazing Touch for its latest invention, DeBCC, a cream formulated from cashew nuts and other local herbs for the treatment for
Basal Cell Carcinoma, the most common type of skin cancer. The product was judged as the most significant invention of 2005, beating more than 1,500 entries from across the world.
A perfect example of innate Filipino ingenuity at work.
